Background:
Nepal Rural Development Society Centre [NRDSC] is a non-government, non-profit, non-political & professionally managed organization established in 2050 with an aim to assist and contribute in national development. NRDSC is an autonomous organization governed by highly committed and qualified board of members having national and international recognition in the sector of community development.

In the past, the organization had been involved in providing group based Micro Finance support to rural women without collateral. At present, all its Micro Finance services have been transferred to Nerude Laghu Bitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. and NRDSC is also a promoter of this Bank. (In Nepali)

It has almost 26,000 disadvantaged families in its direct link and is characterized by low income, poor sanitation & low literacy rate having very poor, landless or nearly land less family habitat in rural areas. Most of them are classified in low caste groups as Musahar, Chamar, Bantar, Risidev & Mochi.

Participatory mechanism at community level thereby creating economic and sustainable development.
Involve backward groups, women, children, dalits, differently able people and lower classes in various programs and make them gradually self sufficient and self reliant.
Properly mobilize and make the communities mobilize the resources and means to provide various opportunities of earning to these communities.
Integrated programs for overall development by improving the abilities of the underprivileged classes.
Act as a resource centre to provide consultancy service in regards to development.
